Roehampton Stables Limited, an equestrian centre situated on the edge of Richmond Park adjacent to Roehampton Gate, appointed Dix Belgravia to construct a new two storey clubhouse with attached staff accommodation.
Being in such a sensitive area, the choice of materials, elevational treatments and quality of build had to be of the highest standard to ensure that the building was in keeping and in harmony with the surrounding area.
Construction was very much in the traditional style with face brick elevations, a plain tile pitched roof with dormers and hardwood windows and doors. Internal finishes were also to an exacting standard and included solid oak and Amtico flooring, hardwood joinery, and specialist kitchen, bathroom and electrical fittings.
The contract was won at tender and was carried out under an IFC Form of Contract with a construction period of 27 weeks.
