The refurbishment of this Grade II listed 1912 building was completed to a high specification and provides 14,000 sq.ft of fully air conditioned offices over six floors plus basement.

Situated at the corner of Horseferry Road and Tufton Street and close to Horseferry Road Magistrates Court, the extremely restricted site required careful planning and co-ordination of trades to ensure that whilst the project proceeded to programme, disruption to the public was kept to a minimum.

The works comprised the part demolition of the rear section of the existing structure and the complete removal of the roof and two floors, with the existing facades, retained and refurbished. New foundations were a combination of bored piling and steel grillage bases to overcome the extensive obstructions that were encountered. The new frame of structural steelwork and precast concrete floors was enclosed with facing brick walls and double glazed sash windows.

A new mansard roof housing the fifth floor was constructed over the whole floor area.
